Quiet Nights app privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This policy explains how Becato LLC ("we", "us") handles personal information in the Quiet Nights: Sleep Coach app and its online services, and how BCO Group LLC, owner of the Ashton Care brand, is involved. The ashton-care.com.au website itself is covered by our separate website privacy policy. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who we are

  • Becato LLC (30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA) publishes the Quiet Nights app, runs its server and promotes app competitions.
  • BCO Group LLC (USA) owns the Ashton Care brand, sells Ashton Care products through Amazon.com.au and supplies competition prizes.

What we collect

Stays on your phone only (we never receive it): your nightly logs, wind-down steps, nose checks, morning check-ins, tags such as dry mouth or headache, what your sleep buddy heard, your sleep scores and findings, reminder times and app settings.

Kept on our server:

  • Account: first name, email, optional mobile number, marketing choice, the Ashton Care kit you use
  • Community: nickname, posts, replies, likes, reports and blocks
  • Competitions: routine points (worked out from the dates you log a wind-down, rest night or check-in, not their content), game scores and play times
  • Basic technical data our host processes to deliver the service (for example IP address and request logs)

When you claim a prize: your Amazon.com.au order number and delivery details, used only to verify and send the prize.

Some of this, such as the fact that you use a sleep or snoring product, or what you write in the community, can be health information. We collect it only with your consent, which you give when you create an account, and only what we need.

Why we use it

  • To create and run your account and the app
  • To run the community, including moderation and responding to reports
  • To run competitions, verify winners and send prizes
  • To send Ashton Care offers and news from BCO Group LLC, only if you opt in. Every email names the sender and has an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes within 5 working days
  • To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for advertising or share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts our server and database. Data is stored and processed outside Australia, including in the United States.
  • BCO Group LLC, for prize fulfilment and, if you opted in, marketing emails.
  • Apple and Google process app downloads and any Quiet Nights Plus subscription payments under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your card details.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

When we send information overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep account and community data while your account is open. When you delete your account in the app (You > Delete my account), we delete your account, posts, replies, likes, reports, blocks, routine events and game scores from our server straight away. Prize records may be kept for up to 7 years where the law requires. Data on your phone is removed when you delete the app.

Your choices and rights

  • See or correct your details: in the app, or by emailing us
  • Delete your account: in the app at any time
  • Stop marketing emails: unsubscribe link in any email, or the switch in the app
  • Notifications and microphone (if a future feature uses it) are off until you turn them on

Security and data breaches

We use encrypted connections, random account tokens and limited access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Children

Quiet Nights is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Complaints

Email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We will post any update here with a new date, and tell you in the app before a significant change.
